Situation:
A major company is considering developing a new product line
which will require board-level sign-off for a significant
amount of investment.
Critical business issues:
They have an exciting idea but need to understand the market,
the threats and weaknesses, the social and economic trends and
many other crucial details.
Reasons:
Whilst the company has an in-house marketing director, his skills
needed to be supplemented with specialist knowledge of key markets.
Capabilities needed:
First hand experience and deep knowledge of the markets being
targeted so that the company could assess the takeup of the
product from launch to maturity.
Code Red provided:
Over a period of six weeks Code Red organised and co-ordinated a
team of experts: 10 working days of 'specialist' analysis time
plus a further 2 days added for report writing, fine tuning,
question-and-answer sessions and a formal presentation.
Results:
For a total of 12 man-days, the client received over 80
man-years of experience and the considered opinions of specialists
on the current market conditions, presented in a manner appropriate
to making a business case to investors.
